Santana is successful with destructive scheming in which she has no emotional or social investment in the individuals involved (ex: breakup of Finchel and Quam)
Santana is not successful with destructive scheming in which has has emotional or social investment in the individuals involved (ex: breakup of Quick, Puckcedes and Luck because she has a social investment in Puck, breakup of Bartie because she has an emotional investment in Brittany)
Santana is not successful with constructive scheming; it either fails, or her motivations change along the way (ex: trying to win Brittany with her Prom Queen Scheme)
Brittany, by nature, is not a schemer. Her disregard for schemes and social conventions are what enable to operate freely and happily.
When she schemes, schemes of a negative nature (making Santana jealous) backfire.
When she schemes, schemes of a productive, positive nature (getting Santana discuss feelings and feel more comfortable with being herself) are most effective.
Summary: “Brittany tries not to get ahead of herself, but sometimes she can’t help it. And sometimes she doesn’t think it’s that much ahead, anyway, really. Sometimes you just know stuff for sure and it’s lame to pretend like you don’t.”
Five vignettes set after the point when Brittana become girlfriends. Not too many people would guess it, but Brittany knows that loving Santana is the easiest and best thing in the world to do; Santana is just the best person to love.

Author’s Note: Both the title of this story and the chapter headings in it derive from the song “The Book of Love,” originally performed by the band Magnetic Fields and later recorded by Peter Gabriel. I like this cover of the song a lot.
Second Author’s Note: Special thanks to Kelly for being an all-around BAMF and basically walking me through this writing process every step of the way.

"All That We Left Behind" - Roch's future!Sugar timeline (so far)
I’ve been slacking on finishing this next future!Sugar fic, and noticed that shit is gonna start getting confusing and scattered. My Brittanalyzing Wonder Twin JJ suggested that it might be helpful to release the timeline that we put together.
The timeline that follows will also include links to previous fics and feature some explanations for events. I’d prefer not to show my hand so early in the game, so to speak, but I know this will reduce confusion.
